While treatment modalities can vary by clinician, all therapists at Shiva Counseling use a modality grounded in attachment theory as their starting point. Emotionally Focused Couples Counseling and Emotionally Focused Individual Counseling are the primary modalities used to help transform your relationship with others and with yourself.

Shiva Counseling is working toward becoming credentialed with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.

For all others not in-network with Anthem, we can provide a Super-Bill for you to file with your insurance provider to seek reimbursement. The out-of-pocket cost is $200/session and due at the time of service.

If you have Medicare, please understand that we are not in-network and cannot provide a Super-Bill for services due to Medicare regulations. While that does not exclude you from receiving services at Shiva Counseling, it is imperative you understand this is regulated by Medicare.

For any copays or deductibles with Anthem, you can call the phone number located on the back of your insurance card and request what your co-payment or deductible is for Outpatient Behavioral Health benefits.

Currently, Shiva Counseling is working on becoming an in-network provider with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
